At The Carolina Inn
This past weekend my husband and I were so lucky to have to opportunity to take a little staycation to the Carolina Inn, about an hour away from where we live. This place is dripping in Southern Charm y’all, from the timeless wallpaper and glimmering chandeliers, to the bath towels folded in the shape of a bow, no detail is left forgotten. It’s a true Southern Girl’s delight! Don’t even get me started on the Gourmet Southern cuisine we had for dinner at Crossroads. Just make sure you get the biscuits with honey butter and the Caramel Apple Buckle dessert- a Fall item but was so popular they decided to leave it on the menu year round. It was worth every sugary calorie, needless to say. We so enjoyed our stay here! Now onto these fabulous fashionable looks for the Fourth…
Look 1 - Little White Dress
Add in a bold red lip (my favorite long wear one here-color 400), and some little red Rothy’s (made of recycled water bottles and so comfy), and you’re golden with this look for the fourth! Size up one full size in the shoes! I absolutely adore this girly little white dress too, and is not see through or overly thick either. The dress I’m wearing here is a size 2, which is one size up from my regular size, but because I am bustier, needed the room in the top so the buttons won’t pull. It still fit great throughout because of the fit and flare silhouette and the ability to cinch in the waistline with the matching fabric belt. I also scooped up this darling little straw bag with embroidered anchor and pom pom details at Homegoods for only $24.99 and its also insulated like a cooler-making it the perfect accessory for any fourth of July pool or beach event! If you can’t find it at your local Homegoods, I’ve linked a similar inexpensive style here for you and below in the shop section!

Look 2 - Timeless White Jumpsuit
I adore the fit of this jumpsuit. It’s one of those things that is cute but also really comfortable for sitting and lounging after dinner on the porch for the rest of that southern party you’re attending on the 4th! The quality is fabulous, as I find all Gal Meets Glam pieces to be, and is lined so it’s not see through. I will say that because of the high quality lining and material thickness, it is a little heavier than the dress so if you’re in a warmer climate and outdoors all afternoon for the fourth, you may want to go with the dress pictured above instead. This one is great for your evening gatherings. Pair with these on sale Navy dot shoes and bargain tassel earrings, and designer dupe straw tote for an all around classic, feminine look.

And, as promised, the organic, natural self tanner that I recently discovered and swear by is linked here for you. It goes on white like a hydrating body cream and smells like coconuts. It rubs in clear which is amazing for neat freaks like myself who can’t stand to sit let alone sleep on their furniture with self tanners on. It doesn’t stain your clothes either and is organic which is a super plus! Definitely leave on the full 6 hours and reapply as necessary. It also doesn’t fade uneven so is easy to keep up with the tan. Icing on the cake is via prime it ships free in two days so you can definitely get it in time for your travels. Only con would be it does start to smell sort of self tanner like the next day, however the smell fades after a day I noticed.
