Hello my loves!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July a couple weeks ago. I can’t believe we are already half way through this year. One of my goals this year was to travel more, which is another reason moving to North Carolina was so enticing to us. We are so centrally located to visit so many beautiful places by car or plane.
This year for the fourth we were fortunate enough to travel to the Cavalier Virginia Beach historic hotel and beach club. This town is so adorably charming I can’t even take it! It was so stinkin patriotic, decked to the nine’s for the 4th too that made it even more story book! They have these cute, new Charleston and Cape Cod style homes lining the beach amidst the ambiance of the historic autograph collection Cavalier hotel.
As soon as Mark found this place I knew we had to plan a trip and of course I had to pack the perfect Gal Meets Glam ensemble for the occasion. The pale and navy blue color of this two piece set made it the perfect southern outfit for the weekend of the 4th. If you’re a sucker for comfortable yet cute Summer dresses, then this two piece will not let you down. I thought it was fun to add in the navy dot heels and navy handled beach tote that I think looks very close to a designer one but this is a fraction of the price. So I splurged on the two piece set, but saved on my accessories.
Are y’all a fan of two piece sets? I actually really love them if done right like this one. My key tip to pulling the two piece set off is to pair with one piece that has more coverage while the other has less. Since the top is cropped and sleeveless, I love that the skirt is more feminine, full and not too short!
If you’re looking to make a trip to a quaint and clean beach this Summer, I highly recommend Virginia Beach. And if you go googly eyed over fine details, historical architecture, breathtaking interior décor, with modern amenities like a first class oceanfront beach club, then the Cavalier Hotel is where you’ll want to be.
