A Holiday in Quebec City to Remember
Wow! The moment you step out of the car in Quebec around the holidays, you literally feel like you walked straight into a Hallmark Christmas Movie Scene. I mean it really is that incredible, truly. The streets of Old Quebec are decked to the nine’s, there’s a beautiful display of lights on the buildings, the roof peaks and evergreen trees are frosted in snow capped glimmer, and there are carolers sporadically showing up on streets to heighten your Holiday spirit. Just when you think it can’t get any better, Santa shows up, you discover a charming and cozy restaurant with incredible food and then take a snow princess romantic adventure on an outdoor skating rink.
For a Florida girl, this is truly a dream come true! Don’t even get me going on the adorably set up German Christmas Market shops and the spiced apple cider. Not to mention the horse and carriage rides that pass by as you watch the snow fall at a window table inside a scrumptious french restaurant. I mean you can’t make this stuff up guys. Its real and this all happened. The highlight for me though was definitely dog sledding! Despite our break on the sled literally breaking five minutes into it unable to stop, with an 8 horse power dog sled (no joke- they’re fast and furious), and literally eatting snow around one sharp curve, it was still amazing!! What an adventure! The majority of the hour long journey was peaceful, fun and had amazing views. The dogs were the sweetest and the babies…you guys oh myyyyy they were the cutest fur babies! They love the snow so much its so cute.
Clearly I could go on and on. I would highly recommend traveling here for a winter wonderland escape around the holidays. I’m going to link the amazing, storybook like hotel we stayed at, the dog sledding company we booked with, as well as the many fabulous restaurants and activities I would not miss while there. I have to thank Tulia Travel, The Auberge Saint-Antoine Concierge and staff, my friend Amberlyn and my childhood friend Dani for amazing recommendations for our trip.
