Charming in Charleston SC
So we took a couples trip for Mark and I's third Wedding anniversary to my absolute Favorite city, Charleston (click here for some inspo to start your travel plans)!! This town is so full of charm and unique character with every corner you turn. You can spend a whole day just strolling around the city by foot or rent a beach cruiser and soak up all the historical sights. From blooming window boxes to vibrant shutters, and intricately detailed buildings and churches, it sure is picturesque.
We got so lucky and found this Uber driver who was a history teacher and knew everything about the town so we had him take us around and just outside of Charleston to stunning plantation homes for a couple hours. The trip was magical as always and I can't wait to go back.
If food and shopping are your things, you also came to the right place. On King street their are so many retail stores and boutique's that are just pure gems! The food is absolutely to die for. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here!
In light of my love for this city, I'm sharing my recommendations of things to do, eat, shop and see in Charleston!

STROLL
Stroll down South of Broad Street onto streets like Bay and onto Battery next to the water, which will begin your journey winding around to Atlantic, Tradd and Church...pretty much every side street down here is worth turning down, which is why you could spend a day by foot or on bikes discovering hidden gems of dreamy, enchanted southern homes with a story to tell. The pretty colored Georgian styled "Rainbow Row" homes are on Bay street. The "Calhoun Mansion" (scenes of the notebook filmed here!!) is on Meeting Street. Also Be sure to check out the "Two Meeting Street Inn". If this doesn't just make you smile all day then I don't know what will. Wear comfortable shoes!!
