Because I don’t work out of our corporate office (like most people in sales), we don’t have a corporate Holiday party to attend. I wish I had an annual company Christmas party to dress for, but since I don’t I’ve had plenty of time to daydream over what it would be like to go to one, and what to wear if I did have one to attend. All just in time to give you some serious style inspo for your actual company party! Right this way ladies…
With the hustle and bustle of the season, it will most likely be challenging to change after work if your party is directly after your job ends, so I chose an outfit that would be appropriate to wear at the office, that you can easily transition to after hours. This Ann Taylor Skirt is so chic with the sheer dots and the blush pink underlay makes it so elegant keeping it work appropriate. I loved pulling out that blush color in the soft button detail sweater, with the buttons mimicking the shape of the dots.
I simply added the pearl velvet bow hair tie (comes in a set of 2), to pull my hair back, as I could imagine my hair falling flat or being a little out of place by the end of a long work day. This provides a sophisticated feminine solution and looks extra festive and polished.
The shoes are the real show stoppers here in my opinion. I opted for classic black pumps with a fun twist- the fur poof on the pointed toe! they are just so fun and festive! It takes your ordinary black pump into anything but ordinary, truly making a statement when you walk into the room. I ordered my true to size fit which usually works quite well for shoes by Ann (wearing a 7).
There’s just something about a high waist fit and flare skirt that never gets old. It’s the perfect thing to twirl around in all night to holiday tunes while chatting it up and sipping festive drinks. I originally ordered it in a small and ended up sizing down one in the skirt and sweater to an XS as both have some stretch to them.
