Ingredients:
1 pack each of Weltons Candy Decorations (we chose flamingos, mermaids and rainbows and picked them up from JoAnn’s. You can order them on-line too.)
1 bag (2 cups) blue candy melts (also picked up from JoAnns)
Pink Paper Straws (also picked up at JoAnns but you can also order online)
Pearl Sprinkles (also found at JoAnns)
One Box Rice Krispie Cereal
One 10oz bag of marshmallows
4 tbsp Butter
3 tbsp coconut oil (this makes the candy melts the right consistency to coat the krispies)
Directions:
Follow the recipe on the back of the rice krispie cereal box and make the krispies. We used a 9x9 pan instead of 9x13 to keep them thick enough for pop straw. We also buttered a piece of parchment paper and lined it on bottom of the pan with the paper hanging over edge of the pan, so it would just be easy to lift out the rice krispies once cool, to then cut on a cutting board.
We were able to cut in roughly 2”x3” squares and had 12. Cut squares. Insert straw.
Use a small pot filled 1/4 way with water and put a clear glass bowl over top. Heat on low, add in bag of candy melts. Once melted stir in 3 tbsp of coconut oil for consistency.
Dip and decorate your pops!
